HummingHaus Return & Exchange Policy

At HummingHaus, our goal is to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. We understand that sometimes an item may not be exactly what you envisioned, and we're here to help with our return and exchange process. Please review our guidelines below:

Return & Exchange Policy:

  • International Orders: We do not offer returns or refunds for orders delivered outside of India. However, we offer the option to exchange your product within 15 days of delivery, subject to the following conditions:

    1. Exchange Selection: The buyer must select an exchange product of equal or greater value.
    2. Return Shipping: The original product must be returned in new, sellable condition with the tags intact and in the original packaging to our warehouse in India. Shipping costs, including taxes, duties, and other fees, are the responsibility of the buyer. If needed, we can assist with the return shipping at the buyer’s cost.
    3. Inspection: Once we receive the returned product, it will undergo a thorough quality inspection.
    4. Payment of Difference: If there is a price difference between the original and exchange item, the buyer must pay the balance before we ship the new item.
    5. Exchange Shipping: After payment is made, we will dispatch the exchange product to the buyer’s address. The shipping cost for the new item will be covered by HummingHaus.

Specific Exchange Conditions:

  • If the exchange item is priced higher than the original, the buyer must pay the price difference before shipment.
  • If the exchange product is priced lower than the original, we will issue a credit coupon for the balance, which can be used on our website within 1 year.

For Custom Orders:

  • Exchanges are only accepted if there is a verified manufacturing defect.

How to Request an Exchange:

  1. Initiate the Process: To request an exchange, email us at support@humminghaus.com within 7 days of receiving your item.
  2. Customer Support: Our team will contact you within 1-2 working days to guide you through the process.
  3. Choose Your Exchange Product: We will assist you in selecting an exchange product of equal or greater value.
  4. Return Shipping: You will need to ship the original product back to our warehouse in India at your own cost, or you may request assistance with the return shipping (costs are still borne by you).
  5. Quality Check: Once we receive the returned product, it will go through a quality inspection process.
  6. Final Payment: If required, you will need to make the balance payment before we ship the new item.
  7. Shipping: After payment, we will dispatch your new product and cover the shipping costs for the exchange.

Exchange Terms & Conditions:

  • The exchange request must be made within 15 days of receiving your order.
  • The returned product must be in its original condition, with packaging, labels, and tags intact.
  • Altered or illegible serial numbers will void the exchange.
  • The product will undergo a quality check before the exchange is processed.
  • Custom Orders: Exchanges for custom products will only be processed if a manufacturing defect is found.
  • Manufacturing Defects: If you receive a product with a defect, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery. You may be asked to provide a photo of the defect by emailing support@humminghaus.com.

Defects Not Covered by Our Policy:

  • Occasional sprouting or loss of single tufts of fiber.
  • Natural shedding (which can be reduced by regular vacuuming).
  • Changes in color or texture due to natural fibers, dyes, or environmental factors like sunlight or humidity.
  • Rolling marks (which should disappear with regular vacuuming).
  • Matting or crushing, which can be minimized with proper care.
  • New rugs may have an odor, which will dissipate after placing the rug upside down in direct sunlight for 24 hours.
